Hey y'all! Happy Monday :)
Somehow I'll hit a year this week...it's pretty odd hah. I don't think that will ever really sink in. I just try not to think about the fact that the sisters I came out with only have six months left. I'm not bitter.
Sorry I didn't write last week. We like to keep our P-days full so sometimes its hard to find time to write anything. I gotta get back into the habit of writing Sunday night hah.
Anyways! This week was pretty good. We had a handful of lessons with recent converts which resulted in us getting a bench press and a little treadmill! So yeah now we have that. The gains are about to skyrocket. Those mid-study session sets are gonna go crazy. But the lessons were all really good though! It's been really good being able to meet with these newer members and help them get integrated into the ward. A struggle we have pretty often here is that people who are YSA aged get taught and baptized into a family ward and then get transferred into this ward and have no connections. When people don't have friends they don't feel comfortable and they frequently go inactive. We do our best to love share and invite and to help them feel at home here.
Last Saturday we had an elders quorum BBQ which was VERY well attended! We had a few of our new members attend which was really awesome. That's one of the things I like about the YSA. There are a lot more social activities that go on throughout the week that give people a lot of opportunities to get to know each other and really become friends. That goes a long way especially with new members.
Not a whole lot else of note happened this week and I don't have much time left so I'll wrap it up. Things are going well here and we get transfer news on Tuesday so we'll see what happens next! I will most likely be staying but it's up in the air for my companion. We're getting 25 new missionaries in the mission so the chances of me training are a lot higher haha. We'll see! That's something that's kind of stressed me out but I'm sure it'll go just fine.
Well, I love you all and I hope this week is nice and cool and super fun. Happy early Halloween!
Love,
Elder DeWitt

| Some kind of delicious Mexican food in a cool stone bowl. Just don't touch the bowl. It's probably just a couple degrees away from being molten. |

| I found a piece of chicken that looks like a seahorse. |

I get to skin deer again! I've missed doing this so much.
