Week 17:
Hello hello! I'm running low on time today, so I have to keep this one a bit short. We shall see. I'll try to start earlier next week so ya'll actually get something more interesting to read. No promises, but I'll certainly try!
I'll
be honest it's been a pretty average week as a missionary. Well, as
average as it can be doing missionary work. (Which I suppose isn't very
normal when you think about it...) We had a few lessons with the people
were teaching and dropped by a whole lot of people in our records trying
to get in contact with them. We seem to do a lot of that...doesn't
exactly make good writing material, but I'm tryin' my best! We did meet a
new person names Diego the other day though. He was found by some
sister missionaries in Salt Lake at Temple Square about 9 months ago!
They were finally able to get in contact with him and referred him to
us. Diego is basically a blank slate in terms of religion, so it's been
really cool getting to teach him! He asks tons of really
awesome questions that make the conversation very active, so it's super
sweet. My mans just wants to learn! We're excited to see how things go
with him.
We have been
really well fed in this ward, and it's been awesome getting to know the
members and eat some good food. Our shopping list is pretty short
because we get dinner every day. We even have a lunch scheduled this
week too.
We even have someone not in our ward signed up to feed us! I'll let
ya'll know how crawfish tastes next time after that. Never had it before,
but that will soon change! Anyways, they like to feed us here I guess.
And they always send us home with leftovers. Always. We somehow ended up
with two cakes...I don't understand why exactly, but we do. Not sure
they will get eaten though, I'm not trying to go into a coma just yet!
This
week we had preparation day today because we went to the temple this
afternoon! Hence the day late email. Oh yeah and sorry for no email LAST
week. Gmail decided it doesn't like me and deleted all of it.
Aaaanyways, we had an awesome time at the temple and I really wish I
could just kinda turn right around and go back in.
It's sorta just the best place to be. Just simply a beautiful building
regardless of anything else. Definitely recommend going if you can. At
least spend some time on the grounds. The spirit is super strong. 11/10
would definitely recommend to a friend. And everyone.
I
just realized that this is actually my first email from my new area!
I'm now in the Castle Hills area with Elder Reynolds! This is a really
interesting area, and I've been enjoying it so far. We meet a very wide
variety of people which keeps things fun haha. It's been a good area
though. Not nearly as many castles OR hills as you would expect
though...been keeping my eyes peeled. They must be hiding around here
somewhere!
Well, I gotta
be leaving for (you guessed it) a member dinner in a few minutes, so
I'll just sorta wrap it up here. I love you all! Stay safe, stay happy,
and if it's cold stay warm and if it's hot stay cool! I mean, stay cool
anyways of course. That's generally a pretty good thing to do.
Take care ya'll!
