Week 11: It's Monday again?

Hey y'all! Happy Monday. This will probably be another shorter email today unfortunately. Today was busy!  We had a great and busy week here! Feels like an absolute blur. One of those weeks that feels really long and really short at the same time. Doesn't make a lot of sense...

Anyways!
Starting off with a bang, we were able to set a date for our friend Julio's baptism!! Things have been going super well with him, and we were finally able to track down his girlfriend Vanessa's membership records! We're super excited to continue teaching him, and working towards the baptismal goal of February 25. It's after transfers, so I'm just praying that Elder Marshall and I stay in this area! Fingers crossed.
We were able to teach a few other lessons this week and meet some awesome people. We were finally able to get in contact with a few men who run a business together named Joe, Sal, and Lupe. Super great people who just want to learn!
We started meeting with one of our friends who is new to us that the other elders were teaching before named Glen! He is an absolute stud that we are super excited to be working with. He also has some super sweet horses! And goats! And an adorable big fluffy white dog I haven't met yet! (you best believe that dog and I are gonna be best friends)

This week we had a missionary training meeting with all the Pecan Valley stake missionaries at the stake president's house (well, outside his house. there were kind of a lot of us) Great meeting though, albeit windy and kind of cold. Both Elder Marshall and I definitely ate too much creamed corn and pulled pork sandwiches. Delicious mistake. Glen took us to a delicious Mexican restaurant, so we had to pack in some more food. Ohhhhh well.

Today was a good preparation day! Lots and lots of cleaning. Elder Marshall and I are deep cleaning the apartment and oh boy. I don't think this place has been cleaned well in years. We've been working hard on this place, and it's made a huge difference. Just looks better, smells better, and whaddya know you can feel the spirit better! Haha cleaning is definitely satisfying and de-stressing sometimes. Would recommend. Except that it's really nasty if you have to deep clean after the last however many set of elders didn't clean hardly at all... It's definitely very much improved though.
We also got to shop and stop by boot barn to check out some...well, boots. As the name suggests. No I didn't get any yet, but you bet I'm going to.

I think that's all I really have time for this week! We are heading to have dinner with the stake president and his wife and then to join an FHE night with the widowed members of the ward! Should be a fun time haha. They're excited to have us. Anyways, I hope ya'll have an amazing week!
