Week 8: Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas yall! Hope everyone had a good one. We had a pretty quiet week, all things considered. And as usual, it felt much shorter than a week!
Most
of our week consisted of regular missionary work that isn't really
worth writing out haha. Needless to say, it was a lot of studying,
knocking on doors, phone calls, and some naps.
It
being the Christmas season definitely makes the work difficult because
nobody really wants to talk to you (which is ironic because we're
literally trying to talk about Jesus...during Christmas...) oh well. The
people here seem to love Jesus but never want to talk about him.
I
got to skin a deer by myself this week! Yes, I feel very cool. The
people at the Food Bank love us because we know what we're doing so they
don't have to train us anymore. It's always fun doing service there.
Christmas
was...very quiet this year. We didn't have a member meal or anything
for Christmas eve or morning, but we had our own little feast as an
apartment. We had a good sacrament meeting yesterday with a nice music
program as well.
I will say, Christmas as a
missionary is definitely odd but memorable! One Christmas down, one to
go! It's really strange thinking about a year in increments of holidays.
I've been out a month already! Time flies when you're busy and having
fun, I guess!
I don't have
much else to share about the week, so I'll wrap up here (plus, we're
about to play some basketball) I love you all so much and I hope that
you had an enjoyable, christ-massy Christmas! Have an awesome week
everyone and a happy (and safe) New Years!
